Katie and Jason had their first date on the canal in downtown Indianapolis, and that part of the city was important in the early days of their relationship, since it was where Jason lived at the time.
Happy Lunar New Year! Years ago (as in, seven years ago, at the start of the Year of the Rooster), on a very cold January night, I was on my way from SoHo to Brooklyn to photograph a birthday party…
I’ve known and loved The Bergamot (Jillian Speece and Nathaniel Paul Hoff) for years, and I couldn’t be more proud of their most recent achievement of creating a documentary, State of the Unity, which spent 2023 positively tearing up the film festival circuit and screening all over the country, plus locking in a distribution deal with Freestyle Digital Media…
The familial energy— mutual love, admiration, and ease— was strong at this joyful holiday dinner party, hosted by Baky Soumare, Martha Velasquez Billen of Local Edition Market, and Megan Finn, presented by SILMAR Brands and Pitch Studio.

Dropping a couple as kindhearted and handsome as Andrew and Scotty into this scene really can only sweeten the deal for both parties. I had so much fun with these two, capturing holiday spirit and smiles in the West Village— notably, Abingdon Square and a Village classic, the annual Romp Family Christmas Tree pop-up shop at Jane St. and 8th Avenue.
