Happy happy holidays to my beautiful, loving, wonderful community. You are literally the reason I get to do what I do, and I am so, so grateful for all of you. Before Advent, before December, before the countdown and the rush and the pressure of gifting sneaks up on you, I want to offer you some ideas on how you can avoid the trap of buying more stuff, and instead give gifts that speak to the precious quality of individual experiences, the love we share, and the milestones we commemorate. Giving loved ones the gift of professional photography is a way to give them the gift of presence, to celebrate the aspects of life that we treasure most.
Here are a few specific ideas for people in your life…
For your parents, parent figures, grandparents: My personal favorite offering for this set is an anniversary session just for them. This also ends up doubling as a gift for the whole family, since then everybody gets prints of these beloved elders. But they’ll also love prints from a recent family session, couple’s session, or wedding.
For a sibling or close friend who has children: A family session that they might be too busy to book themselves.
For someone you love who is starting a business: A branding session to get them some awesome imagery to represent their goods or services. This is a great way to demonstrate how much you believe in them. As a business owner myself, I can tell you that means so much.
For someone who will be graduating in 2024: A headshot session for the job search. Again, a great way to demonstrate your support for their next endeavors and adventures.
For your soon-to-be fiancé: An engagement session or proposal photography.
For your longtime partner: An anniversary session, to acknowledge how much you love them and are excited to keep living your life with them.
For anyone: Gift certificates, which can be the full cost of a session or wedding, or just a portion to be applied toward the total. They can even be used for prints!
I have always found what I do to be a great honor— the gift of helping people preserve their memories beautifully. I would love to help you put the focus on the ones you love with a truly irreplaceable gift. Bonus points: you don’t have to leave your sofa to check this off your list. Inquire here.
