Debi Lilly and I go way back— I first met her when one of my branding clients, Stephanie Weber, rented her previous studio space on Lincoln Ave in Chicago for a session. I was completely taken with Debi’s immaculate vision and execution of aesthetic, and since then we’ve created several styled shoots together. This most recent one was such a lovely reunion; it was the first time we’d seen each other since before the pandemic, and since Debi spends so much of her time in Paris and Nantucket these days, and I don’t live there full time anymore, it was a happy day that we both found ourselves in Chicago at the same time. In classic Debi fashion, she had lush bouquets of bright roses, garden roses, and spring roses ready for styling. Her Chicago space is a wealth of inspiration, with bookshelves that make my heart dance, an easel and paints at the ready, flawless design touches, and the most darling French bulldog named Jacques. Debi herself wore a deep jewel-toned green gown that looked like heaven. I had so much fun capturing spring energy with Debi!
